Tere!
I am looking for a manga store in Tallinn. I did not find any so far and my researches on the Internet failed.
Can you help me out? I really want to buy some books |

There aren't any. You can try your luck at some bigger bookstores (mainly in shopping centers) but you're not gonna find alot to choose from. Good luck finding something worthwhile. _________________

Hmm I think that the best manga choice might be in the Apollo bookstore in Solaris.
At least there was a ''decent'' choice when I last went there (Decent considering the non-existent manga choice in Estonia.)
Hope I helped. _________________

As already mentioned, in Estonia there are no manga stores, but you can find some in Apollo, with good luck at Rahva Raamat. Usually the best choice for Estonians is to get them online. Either from special International places (Amazon for example) or the homegrown kriso.ee. _________________ Asashio | AniMatsuri | MyAnimeList |

Suur aitäh! I will see what I can find in Apollo. I already went to Viru Keskus but is was disappointing.
You really need to have a manga store here! |

It would go bankrupt in a couple of months. _________________

Yeah, places that specialize on niche products like comics, fantasy tabletop games etc have not fared well. I really don't see a market for anime, manga and related merchandise here. There aren't that many people who'd buy them, and the people that would are by now accustomed to buying stuff from the net. And given that the prices in a local shop would always be higher, I see no basis on this changing.
Apollo/RR have some variety in their largest shops (Viru Keskus and Solaris), but it's mostly stuff that has been sitting on those shelves for half a decade already. (From the mid 00's period where manga here was such a novelty that fans both new and old would actually buy stuff - with no prejudice to the level of content, mind you. Got my first mangas that way too.) _________________ xyz |

That's interesting. I come from a city as big as Tallinn and there we have 4 shops that offer manga and related stuff. Even in almost every train station's bookshop you find some |

It is hard wired in most estonians that anime is either porn or for small children, because unlike Germany where they showed animes like Sailor Moon or DB/DBZ, which are quite famous we had Digimon and Beyblade and other toy anime. |

A good one is Vunder in Mustamae (www.vunder.ee) or there's a pretty good one in Rocca al Mare too. I think it's called Kunst & Hobi Galerii (www.hammond.ee). It's on the 1st floor near Prisma. _________________

Ah, yeah, I heard that Digimon is even more known than Pokémon :O This is nearly unbeliveable
So the "manga- hype" came and vanished quickly?
Tänan, I will see what I can get there |

It just was and is a very niche interest and most probably will remain that for the foreseeable future. _________________

I think the reason why Digimon is more known her is because Pokemon wasn't actually never aired on any of our tv channels. In comparison Digimon used to air in the mornings before school started. |
