well, i have been visiting my aunt, who lives in Finland, regulary every year since i was six years old, so the language is pretty easy to me. i also hang around at finnish one piece site forum sometimes... |

Laurel: why are you hanging around in an Estonian anime forum when Estonian is not easy for you to understand? (I don't mind, I'm just teasing. Perhaps because your collection made me jealous ). I've heard it from some Finns before that it's much more difficult for them to understand Estonian than it is for us to understand Finnish. I don't know whether it is true, but our languages are so similar that you must understand at least something even if you've never learned our language, drunk or not.

I work as a youth leader at summer camps, I'm also emplyed by one of the biggest manga publishers in Finland (Sangatsu Manga), I write some freelancer articles and the rest.. Papi pays.
Mainly I buy my manga from Huuto.net as used. They are usually in perfect condition, but the price is much cheaper. 6-8 euros when normally in a bookstore one manga would cost about 11-13 euros. I also use eBay and various manga/anime forums to buy used manga.
The domestic stores I use for shopping are:
Fantasiapelit - Basically you can find any English translated manga ever published from here, and artbooks, anime magazines and other related crap. Prices vary from average to expensive. The more you byu, the more you get discount. Delivers abroad also. Accepts Visa.
Puolenkuun Pelit - Mainly this is a game store, but it has good selection of manga also. Not too cheap, but as a registered customer you may get discount and other services. Delivers abroad also. Accepts Visa.
Foreign stores I use:
CDJapan - This is what I use for buying anime soundtracks. I have my own personal account where I can see my order status/details/history. I also earn frequent shopper points with every order and CDJapan also sends coupons to those who have subscribed to their newsletter. Prices vary from cheap to average.
JPQueen - Easilly THE CHEAPEST place to get your doujinshi. The selection includes sometimes titles that are extremely rare and hard to find. You can also request some titles if they are not available. 90% of the products in this store are used, but most in mint condition. You can also have your own customer account with multiple features. Unfortunately JPQ doesn't approve direct credit card payments. If you wish to pay via CC, then you have to use a shopping agent called Kagi (it's more or less like Paypal). But that damned Kagi won't accept my credit card and even when I tried contacting them about it, I never got any reply. So for now I don't use JPQ anymore. 
Mandarake - After JPQ, this is the next best thing. Prices are cheap - sometimes even cheaper than in JPQ, although the selection is not as wide. Sells used items and LOADS of hentai manga/doujinshi. Every order are sent as EMS packages, so postage fees are petty high.
AdLibris - The best place to buy new manga. Prices are very competitive and postage is always 2,90 euros regardless of how many books you order. Unfortunately doesn't deliver outside Sweden, Finland or Norway.

Hmn.. Suomessa myydään paljon mangaa, niin tuollaisen kokoelman kasaamisessa ei ole suurta ongelmaa, kunhan on vain rahaa. Rispektiä?

I'm hanging around here because originally I wanted to know where to buy Estonian manga, but then you guys told me that there is none.
What I've heard, Estonian, as a language, is more advanced than Finnish is. So Finnish to you is like old Estonian where as Estonian to Finns is gibberish on some parts. By the way, do you have any compulsory languages that you have to study at school? Like we Finns have English and Swedish.

Pirita Majandusgümnaasiumis on selline lahe eripära mida eriti ei leidu rohkem Tallinnas, et Gümnaasiumis saad sa valida Vene ja Saksa vahel. Lisaks tuleb veel üks keel muidugi valida.

Yeah, I work as a moderator on Sangatsu's discussion forum. My salary is 100 euros per month and I get Fullmetal Alchemist, Emma and Neon Genesis Evangelion delivered for free to my home. I'm also going to be their salesperson at the upcoming Animecon. So if you're coming for a visit then, you have a good chance to spot me behind the counter.
